June 15, 2010 East Bay Summer Series Presents Both Sides Featuring John Bastian & Peter Zepponi
2009 was had its ups and down the economy may have been in the crapper but 2009 saw some real positive happenings. Eastbay Summer Series grew and became a full blown championship tour. And the San Francisco Horse Pitching Club restored the famous Horseshoe Grotto in Golden Gate Park. Peter Zepponi & John Bastian were instrumental in getting the facility back into shape. Peter is the founding member of SFHPC and John a local in SF became a member by proxy. Since then the duo have teamed up from time to time to compete in various tournaments, Blood Wizard's Lord of the Ringers 2009, 2009 East Bay Masters presented by Prime Smoke Meats, and 2009 SF International Horseshoe Pitching Tournament. Peter was able to rack up enough points to finish 15th in EBSS in 2009 and ringer king at round 2. John who made it to round 2 & 3 finished 5th overall in the series. Eastbay Summer Series Presents Both Sides Featuring Ken Grimes & Sean Taylor
2009 Saw the rise and fall of many players on the tour. Team Bacon Saturday Ken Grimes & Sean Taylor improved all summer long finding them in the semi’s at Summer Pitch 4. These two trained well last year and rumors have it 2010 they plan kick it up a notch. Eastbay Summer Series took some time recently to learn more about these two promising athletes to get both sides of the story. -
